Detail 100 Million Users Facebook Leaks to the Public

An Internet security consultant revealed, at least there are 100 million users of Facebook, which detail her personal information leaked to the public.

Ron Bowles, the consultant uses a series of specific code to scan the profile up, the gathering of data that are not hidden by the user's privacy settings.

Furthermore, data collected in a list form of files that can be shared and downloaded. Known, the URL the user profile along with names and ID they dominate the list.

"I tell this to highlight the issue of data privacy. But up to deny, all these data have become public information and spread rapidly in the Internet universe," Bowles said as quoted by the BBC News, Thursday (29/07/2010).

On the Pirate Bay, the biggest file sharing site in the world, this list has spread and downloaded more than 1,000 users.

Responding to the report, up in his statement to the BBC News says, listing such information has been widespread and accessible to anyone on the Internet.

"Facebook users have their own information and the right to divide the desired content, to whom wrote that they go, anytime," the statement up.

According to Facebook, in this case, the information the user is approved for publication were collected by others and circulated on Google, Bing and other search engines, including Facebook. The company is owned by Mark Zuckerberg insisted that no personal data is leaked to the public.
