SBY Concerned 41% Budget Out for Bureaucrats

JAKARTA - President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) ordered that conducted an audit of provincial and district / city is not certain that its structure is considered appropriate. The President claimed to have direct reports from some governors.

"Some governors spoke with me, (they) shake their heads at the district budget was approved only because the parliament in the district, its structure, its use is inappropriate, wasteful, is not optimal and so forth," he said when opening the plenary cabinet meeting at the Presidential Office, Jakarta Thursday (07/29/2010).

The President also considered at this time there are some regional heads who are not seriously implement the introduction of development programs. In fact, according to the constitution, the President is the head of government so that local leaders should be good governors, regents and mayors to implement policies established by the President.
