Government Crop Rp 16.7 Trillion Debt Portion

Ministry of Finance estimates that the realization of debt financing 2010 could be lower Rp16, 7 trillion from the target State Budget (APBN) Amendment 2010.

Minister of Finance, Agus DW Martowardojo, said the realization of the biggest drop among others, performed for the issuance of government securities (GS).
"In the form of securities, the plan issued will be lower around Rp15 trillion," said Agus in the Office of the Ministry of Finance, Jakarta, Tuesday, July 27, 2010.

He continues, an estimated low realization of the debt financing due to the number of withdrawals and loan principal repayments are expected to fall. Estimated while the principal repayment will drop from Rp54, 1 trillion to only Rp53, 1 trillion.

Meanwhile, the withdrawal of gross foreign debt would fall from Rp70, 8 trillion to Rp68, 5 billion.

Thus, Agus continued, the ratio of government debt to gross domestic product (GDP) until the end of the year is estimated to be 27 percent. This ratio further decreased compared to the last three years of data, which in 2007 amounted to 35 percent, 2008 (33 percent), and in 2009 of 28.3 percent.

"The total funding that was originally budgeted Rp133, 7 billion is expected to also drop to around Rp95, 1 trillion," said Agus.

Agustin also said that this year the government will still have the rest of the budget more (SAL) of about Rp22 trillion. Number of SAL was lower than the beginning of 2010 which reached Rp60 trillion. "That fund more and in early 2011 will be required to pay in state revenues that have not been there," he said.
